I love this picture of my grandmother with Caroline! My grandmother is 90 years old and is recovering from major ovarian and colon cancer surgeries. She is slowly recovering and has had limited use of her left leg post surgery. Apparently during her surgery the Dr. removed a tumor that was near her leg's nerves. She has undergone a lot of not only recent  physical changes but also social and emotional changes such as moving out of her assisted living "home" and into a nursing home (due to not be able to walk alone). One of her best thrills was when her best friend, from her assisted living home, ended up needing rehab for a short time right after her (my grandmother's) surgery and ended up being next door buddies to her at Health South! Both were an hour from home but had each other! God does work in amazing ways!
I enjoy visiting my grandmother. She has lots of stories to tell of her younger years! During this visit she and Caroline had a blast counting all of the play coins in Caroline's purse and talked about the animals that were on each side! Caroline also showed MawMaw that she could count past ten using her beads from her purse too! I look forward to many more visits with her! Blessed!

Miss Caroline loves loves loves Ms. Leah, her husband, Mr. Brian, and their children, Christopher, Whitney, and Metta! She loves that Whitney can twirl her hair and tries her best to mimmick her! She loves when Metta and Christopher play with her on the playground, especially the trampoline! Caroline has gone to Ms. Leah's twice this summer to play with her friends and both times she's gone swimming in Ms. Leah's water pool (ha, at the time of publishing, Ms. C's been several more times)! Here's a few pics of their fun along with Whitney trying to help them learn how to swim! I love how Ms. Leah invests in her "babies" and takes them on "field trips" to their Christmas tree farm and to the water pool!

Whitney, Caroline, and Caroline's prince Lucas!

There's Joel swimming too!

June 3rd 2012 will be a day I'll always cherish and smile when I think about! It was the day that I was "Washed"! I grew up Presbyterian where the doctrine believes in infant baptisms. So pretty much I was baptized as a baby. As an adult, I believe that infants can't make their own free will decision so I chose to make this important public profession of faith... in a pond! Yes, the very one who is petrified of water that can't be seen through was baptized in a pond! My baptism was absolutely beautiful (minus the preanxiety before hand) and perfect and very special indeed! I am blessed to be His!

I am Washed!!

My former student, Josh, was also baptized!

I got to share this special moment with
my niece, Kelsey, too!

Caroline loved playing in the pond afterwards...
good clothes and all!

C having fun with her friends big and small!

Miss Sassy girl!

My sweet family!

What a special day!
