I had a lovely Mother's Day Weekend! Sweet Caroline hasn't been feeling her best since Saturday afternoon and after seeing the doctor on Mother's Day and today she will be on the mend soon. Her first doctor's visit was Sunday morning and after having chest xrays, blood drawn, and being swabbed for strep throat she was deemed clear of pneumonia and strep. We followed back up today and after more blood work (to see if her white blood count had gone down, which it had), she was diagnosed with something similiar to hand, foot, mouth disease. Her symtoms include high fever for days and blisters in her throat (yuck, right?). Well she doesn't have blisters but she has a sore throat and she doesn't want to swallow much. She's been drooling like an infant for the first time (poor baby). So we will keep her hydrated (or try to anyways) and we will alternate motrin and tylenol every four hours. The scariest was when her fever spiked to 104 right after we came home from getting the chest xrays on Sunday. After a cool bath, some juice, and a nap she felt better!
Thank you Sweet Caroline for my Mother's Day pretties! I love them and I dearly love you! Caroline made me a Mother's Day gift at Ms. Leah's which I will share soon! It's my latest treasure!
Update: little girl can now say juice, Stitch (sounds like statch), and ma ma (for mama). She is also taking lots of steps by herself and she's so proud of herself when she does! I love it when she looks at us after doing something so awesome by herself! She's so happy!
