This picture was one of most favorite highlights of this Christmas! Melinda and Kaleb ( the twins' big brother) brought the twins to Lexington for a visit and we all went to see the Lights on the River at Saluda Shoals. The twins got to sit on Santa's lap for the very first time. They just looked around and at him. I'm sure they were in awe and wonder of the "Big Man". C on the other hand was a very different story, Santa didn't really impress her. She has repeatedly told Sam and me since Thanksgiving that she doesn't like ho ho. We have talked to her about how nice Santa is and how he likes children and that there isn't anything to be afraid of when it comes to Mr. C. We "talked" him up since Halloween, ever since she started seeing Christmas decor out and about in Lexington. She did get the courage to stand by his knee for a picture at Saluda Shoals and I have to say I'm proud of my big girl for that! She wasn't much fond of him last Christmas but at least she sat on his lap! During the photo session this year Santa tried to pick her up and she ran completely away! We reassured her that she only had to stand by Santa, that worked!
