Letter to Caroline
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart...” Jeremiah 1:5
Sunday, March 22, 2009
Dear Sweet Caroline,
We are so excited to be having you! Daddy and I have waited such a long time for this very special time and we know the Lord will be blessing us with you very soon.
It’s been so wonderful being pregnant with you and watching my belly grow as you’ve grown. It’s a miracle feeling your kicks, punches, bumps, and movements. Besides flutters, I first felt you kick on Saturday, November 1st and daddy first felt you kick on Wednesday, November 12th- these were both amazing moments. Ever since then you’ve been such a busy girl with all of your moving around. Daddy and I watch you everyday do all your “funny” things in my belly.
Over the last nine months we’ve wondered many things like who you would look like- daddy or me- what your hair color will turn out to be- if you’ll have daddy’s easy going personality and patience or mommy’s get up and go determination. Whatever your characteristics and personality make up we promise to love you and be there for you each and every day.
We have just a few days now until we get to meet you and we’re filled with excitement and anticipation! Daddy and I are very excited about becoming parents and are especially thankful that the Lord has given us this wonderful blessing and opportunity. We know that you are going to bless our lives in so many different ways!
We’ve prayed for you daily over the last nine months. We’ve prayed that the Lord will help us to be what He wants us to be for you. That He will guide us and instruct us on how best to parent you. We also can’t wait to teach you about Jesus. We hope you grow to know that He’s always with you and loves you more than anything else in this world.
We already love you so much and can’t wait for when we get to present you to your new grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Until then our prayer is for you to continue to grow and develop and be a healthy beautiful baby girl! See you soon baby girl! We love you!
Love and Prayers Always,
Daddy and Mommy
